Henry Baskerville
Program Director & Chief Instructor
A Virginia native and true southern gentleman, Henry Baskerville has led the life that so many have only dreamed of or read about in books of far off lands and tales of intrigue.
He is a University of Virginia alumni with a major in music and is an accomplished composer and concert pianist. Henry is frequently booked for weddings, corporate events and private functions to share his gift of music. His true love is teaching and he has been instructing shotgun since he attended UVA in the early 1960’s. His devotion to his students is visible in each and every lesson and his unique instruction style guarantees an exciting and educational atmosphere.
Henry is also well known for his exotic hunts abroad in Africa, Argentina and Europe through his company, Safaris Unlimited, LLC. Anyone that has ever stepped foot into the Chateau or the Dollhouse has witnessed first hand the extent of his adventures. He loves sharing his stories of African sunsets, fierce animal hunts and evening fireside chats.
Henry’s shotgun of choice is the Krieghoff 12 gauge and his favorite rifle (which has helped him on many a safari) is his Remington Sendero 700. Of all the bird hunting available throughout the world, his absolute favorite is the quick and elusive rock pigeon of South Africa.
After a long day of instructing on the clays course, Henry can be found in the Dollhouse relaxing in his favorite overstuffed leather recliner with students and friends. He is always quick to offer a chair and a single-malt scotch to all of those that join him in the evenings and loves listening and sharing stories.
